Winner of Latest 7 Award for Best Male Performer at Brighton Fringe 2009, Danny Alder, and one of the UK's finest up and coming directors Chris Hislop combine to present A Fistful of Snow, exceptionally well reviewed and nominated for Latest 7 Award for Best Play at Brighton Fringe 2009.

Alder and Hislop tell the story of Oscar-award-winning author Chester James. Since rising to fame from his first novel, The Nullarbor Gunslinger, and lacking any sort of inspiration for a new book, he volunteers himself to temporarily move to Svalbard, a small island near the Arctic circle, to guard the Norwegian government's first Global Seed Vault. He's been there seven months longer than expected, and has started to lose touch with reality. He now spends his days talking to a Moose Head, a dreaming of the life he left behind.

***** 'Danny Alder is flawless' - Andrew Kaye, Latest 7

A Fistful of Snow not only features Danny Alder as Chester James, but also voice-overs from some of the finest actors and comedians of today, including Tim Minchin (2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival Perrier Award), Glenn Wool (Never Mind The Buzzcocks), Simon Mallory (Neighbours and Comedy Inc.) and many others.

****1/2 'Miss it at your peril!!' - Richard Stamp, Fringe Guru**** 'cleverly written and impressively executed piece of original theatre' - Paul Levy, Fringe Review

Castles In The Sky Productions is a new, exciting, Brighton based production company aiming to present surreal, high concept, comic plays with an emotional bite. Under the direction of Danny Alder (sell out show for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Get Behind Me Elephant) and Chris Hislop, they bring a wealth of talent and experience into this new company.

A Fistful of Snow will make you laugh, cry, and never look at moose the same way again, an un-missable addition to the Edinburgh Fringe 2009.

***** 'A box of delights!' - Tim Earl, Broadway Baby**** 'Be prepared for a capricious night of laughter, bewilderment and maybe even tears' - Clare Younger, Three Weeks
