‘The most energetic show I’ve seen in a long time…
I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know.’
- THREEWEEKS BRIGHTON (on The Apocalypse Roadshow)
The Dog-Eared Collective’s JOYRIDE is a sketch show that takes its audience on a full throttle thrill ride through the turnpikes of pleasure. Showcasing the company’s high-octane style and sharp linguistic edge, the show satirises the personal pursuits and peculiar pastimes that make us all feel good. From Morrising with missiles to Stricken Come Dancing, it’s a no-holds-barred crash course to Cloud 9.
The quartet of surreal funny mongers are renowned for this unique brand of anarchic comedy theatre:
‘Offbeat to the extreme and profane beyond measure.
It’s The Mighty Boosh meets The League of Gentlemen’
- FEST MAGAZINE (on Bad Dog Variety)
Having received an Ed Fringe MUST SEE recommendation for Barnaby Brown from The Stage in 2007, and a 100-Star Award from USA Weekly for Bad Dog Variety in 2008 and The Apocalypse Roadshow in 2009 The Dog-Eared Collective are firm fixtures on the fringe circuit with preparations underway for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival later on in the year. The company have also performed across the UK alongside the likes of Lucy Porter, Kevin McAleer, Idiots of Ants and The Penny Dreadfuls, as well as hosting The Doghouse - a successful monthly comedy night at West London’s Paradise Bar - where headliners included Paul Foot and Lloyd Langford.
‘Firmly on the critics' radar. Definitely one to watch’
