VITA!
“After all, it is no more surprising to be born twice, than it is to be born once…….”
InBetween Theatre invites you to the world premiere of VITA! – a new play about life. Profound, moving and funny, VITA! explores the themes of death, birth, and rebirth. Challenging the audience’s perceptions of mortality and the meaning of life, it asks: is death the end – or merely the beginning?
Science tells us human cells are constantly regenerated, therefore every day some aspect of our body is reborn – on a purely cellular level we experience ‘rebirth’ daily. Can we experience the same transition on a spiritual level – if we have a soul would it follow the same journey? And could that happen on numerous occasions throughout one’s life?
Devised by the company and inspired by philosophy, science and personal opinion, VITA! combines an original score and text with multi-media projection, film and physical theatre. Join us for a journey through the known, the unknown and the in-between!
InBetween Theatre promotes collaborative new works from all over the world using visual and physical devising techniques. The ensemble comprises performers from throughout Europe, fusing different cultures, performance styles and techniques to create innovative and challenging theatre. Following its Brighton Premiere, VITA! transfers to The Tabernacle Theatre, London.
