An emotional and uplifting new play set in a medical context rarely portrayed on stage. Tina Thomas is a psychological counsellor who has been set a series of questions by the editor of a medical journal so that he may publish a profile of her to advertise her new practice. Tina’s answers reveal an unconventional medical career and a past which explains her present state of mind and prepare her for the future. This is a candid and open expression of a woman’s vulnerability and strength. In August 2010 on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, the Fringe double sell-out performer and former barrister Ginny Davis met international award-winning German/Romanian playwright and doctor Ana-Maria Bamberger on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. This chance meeting led to a collaboration between two professional and like-minded women which results in 10 Questions. Bamberger is renowned for her psychologically subtle plays. “Three o’clock” recently won the Best Play award at the International Balcanic Festival in Romania. Her plays offer complex roles for great actresses and have been successful in the USA and Europe. This is her first play to be performed in the UK “I am honoured that the world premiere of 10 Questions will take place in the land of William Shakespeare” she says. Davis has written and performed two sell-out one-woman plays at Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. “Ten Days .. that shook the Kitchen!” (Sweet, Teviot Place 2008) and “Double Booked” (Pleasance Courtyard 2010 Director, Tim Willis, trained at Mountview Theatre School and has a distinguished acting career.
