Mania meets maracas...
Depression meets Dietrich...
Cabaret meets mental health!
Funny, seductive and mischievous, the Mind Games cabaret presents an irreverent take on depression and bipolar disorder. Join writer/performer Jo Loth and pianist Toby Straton for a wickedly comic journey through the darker recesses of the mind.
MC ‘Jolene Mindtrich’ introduces a range of “sick, fascinating, strange and unique” characters including “Dame Hurry to Therapy”, “Ms Rapid Cycling” and “Jo”. Featuring a unique combination of original music - from torch songs to ballads to spoofs on opera, country and rap- Mind Games surprised, thrilled and moved audiences at the 2010 Brisbane cabaret festival.
This is a cabaret that everyone can relate to. It tackles sensitive issues in a fun way. View its European Premier this year at the Edinburgh Fringe.
