Tripwire Theatre Company would like to announce their debut production; the UK ’s first full length stage adaptation of Quentin Tarantino’s, ‘Reservoir Dogs’.
Set against the backdrop of a heist gone wrong and the fall out that ensues, Tripwire are set to bring Tarantino’s classic to life through a mixture of live action performance and big screen sequences, fused together to create a unique theatrical production of the film.
Tripwire will be debuting the show at the Edinburgh Fringe festival at ‘The Space @ Venue 45’ between the 15th and the 20th August. Tickets are priced at £10. Tripwires performance of Reservoir Dogs will also be a ‘Fringe First’
Set up in West Yorkshire in 2011, Tripwire members boast over 500 years of combined theatrical experience, covering everything from performance, production and direction, to choreography, stage management, set design and multimedia. This myriad of talent are the precise ingredients that will convert ‘Reservoir Dogs’ from screen to stage, using some of the most innovative and original theatrical techniques. Nothing has been left out. All the blood and bullets that comprise the original film explode to life in Tripwires production, creating an amazing and intimate viewing experience.
All proceeds from these performances will be donated to two charities that are very close to Tripwires heart. The first of these charities is ‘Beat’, a UK wide charity supporting people affected by eating disorders. The second is ‘Myeloma UK ’ the only organisation in the UK dealing with Myeloma, a form of bone cancer.
The director of ‘Reservoir Dogs’, Tripwire’s very own Angelo Clarke, is himself diagnosed with Myeloma, which makes the donations to these charities even more prevalent. It is through his drive, passion and unique vision of the show, combined with the talents and hard work of all who are involved, that is set to make ‘Reservoir Dogs’ not only a stunning adaptation of this cult classic, but also an Edinburgh Fringe first.
