Join Kitty in the Big Room at The Caves for her critically acclaimed UK sell - out revue returning to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for its second year. With special guests daily, including international burlesque bombshells, award-winning comedians and sensational circus and cabaret artistes, there’s tease, tassels and titters guaranteed at this stunning spectacle of late-night fringe fun. Kitty Cointreau’s BraHaHa is a vibrant, fun and uplifting show that brings together the glamour and decadence of burlesque with the wit and charm of stand-up comedy, revisiting the roots of vaudeville entertainment. Rare in its approach of mixing comedy and burlesque in equal measure, it is theatrical, elegant and exhilarating entertainment. Previous guests have included international acts such as Missy Malone, Cherry Shakewell, Daiquiri Dusk, Millie Dollar, Vendetta Vain, Pippa the Ripper, Joe Black, Piff the Magic Dragon, Mandy Muden, Andrew Bird, Matt Green, Chris Ramsey, Christian Lee, Scout Durwood, Circus Trick Tease, Mick Ferry, Peekaboo Pointe, Ava Vidal, Wil Hodgson, Stuart Goldsmith and Patrick Monahan, to name a few. Since its inception in 2009, BraHaHa has become a UK sell-out, notably at the Manchester Comedy Festival, Leicester Comedy Festival 2010 and 2011 at the Y Theatre, and Brighton Festival Fringe 2010, where the show was one of Three Weeks ‘Three to See’.’ The show was chosen as one of The Skinny’s Top 10 Cabaret and Top 10 Theatre Shows to see at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010, playing to packed houses and featuring the very best acts the fringe had to offer. Returning for its second run at the Edinburgh fringe, Kitty is back and BraHaHa will be bigger and better than ever. With an exceptional reputation, the show is available for touring year-round. Dazzling, daring and inventive, Kitty Cointreau charms, teases and tempts audiences with her sophisticated cosplay, sultry glamour and undeniable presence that owns any stage. A classically trained dancer and musical theatre singer, the international burlesque artiste was inspired by stories of her Grandmother’s tassel-twirling antics as an ENSA entertainer during the war. She has performed her self-choreographed acts at cabaret and burlesque venues, special events, international arts festivals, corporate events, galas and product launches for several years. Kitty recently took Paris by storm and returns to Europe for more dates this autumn. Television appearances include BBC, Sky One and Channel M, with radio appearances including BBC Radio Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Wales and Asian Network. Kitty was the face of Erotic Review's Edinburgh Fringe coverage in 2010. This burlesque doll thrills audiences with a cocktail of sultry American-style glamour, a 19” corseted waist and more confetti, glitter and dazzling props than you can shake a stick at. From the elegant and classic, to cheeky cheesecake, to bump n’ grind, Kitty is an accomplished artiste and a pedigree of the highest order. Her signature acts include ‘Acceptable in the 80s,’ which features her famous show-stopping giant Rubik's cube, and the inspired ‘Victorian Va Va Voom.’ Be it dancing with fans, powder puffs, bubbles, balloons, glitter or poi, this 80s wild child sizzles on stage. A woman of many talents, she is also a published writer, award-winning promoter and has single-handedly produced BraHaHa since its inception in 2009.
