THE LAST TRILOGY
- A one-man comedy burlesque musical that also features film and 200 strippers cavorting against a backdrop of climate change crisis. It’s Get Real or Get Wasted… because climate change just got dirty!
Written and performed by Spencer Maybe [*see below], who plays three characters: a well-meaning but hapless messianic protest singer-songwriter attempting to prevent the end of the world; a rock star Devil; and a God with low self-esteem. Think Spinal Tap meets The Mighty Boosh delivered by Russell Brand…
Through original songs, comedy and burlesque, Spencer’s goal is always to entertain the audience, while also raising awareness of our current environmental situation. Spencer first performed The Last Trilogy at last year’s Free Fringe. Following great feedback from audiences and critics, he returns for his second Fringe with an edgier, wildly more entertaining show, this time staged at ZOO.

* Spencer Maybe is an artist, writer, male burlesque performer, musician and Renaissance man. He trained as a painter in Manchester, bought his first guitar at 23, has performed with several bands, and created The Last Trilogy at the Soho Review 2009 with a string quartet full band and a brass section, which he funded by busking on the London Underground.
