'Genius..one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.' Db Magazine.'Destined for bigger things' Messenger.Mark Trenwith returns to the Adelaide Fringe with 'Express' at Rhino Room, a show packed with risky social experiments that will no doubt rattle a few feathers. In Express, Trenwith investigates what makes people 'somewhat crap' at expressing themselves with some brave social interactions. 'I was actually threatened and abused just for doing something nice like throwing rose petals at peoples feet' explains Trenwith, 'I'll also be entering an MC Rap Battle to explore aggression. I like to actually 'do' things in my comedy rather than just talk or whinge about it.'Using a singing telegram to apply for a job was one of Trenwith's comicexperiments that caught the eye of New York's the CNN Morning Show. 'That was really encouraging,' exclaims Trenwith of this attention, 'but the time I almost got arrested for sending complete strangers friendly stickers wasn't so.'Trenwith's 'playing with the world around him' style of comedy has seen him perform at the last four Adelaide Fringe Festival and earned him roles in film (Peaches) and on TV (Being Me ? ABC TV).It is all presented in a fast paced multimedia style that is certainly making this Australian talent one to watch. 'I just get bored watching one guy on stage for an hour,' says Trenwith. 'I like to surprise my audiences with videos, sound effects and other theatrics making them feel like they've seen something really special.'
