The Parlure Spiegeltent & Garden is delighted to announce an exciting return to Brighton for the Festival Fringe in 2009.
The Parlure Spiegeltent & Garden's first thrilling year in Brighton was a huge success, a success which Jessica Joy Magill, Project Manager and Programmer hopes to build on further this coming May. She explains, 'We will be moving from St Peter's down to the Old Steine, a much more central site that will show off our spectacular venue.'
The programme will focus once again on enthralling cabaret and music shows, with dance, comedy, theatre and a host of children's shows for your entertainment and delight. The Parlure Spiegeltent will also be offering free lunchtime concerts on selected weekdays and unmissable late night discos on weekends.
This year the venue will host two outstanding flagship cabaret shows. The Parlure Players will present 'The Aviator Club'; a colonial era journey around the world with dazzling circus, magic, dance and burlesque, all held together by specacular songs from the house band, Top Shelf Jazz.
The second is an accomplished production from Intertstellar Cabaret, featuring acts from the infamous Invisible Circus, evoking the circus highlife in sawdust and spangles, candyfloss and feathers. This crew are bawdy, brash and slightly twisted, as all good cabaret should be. Expect amazing aerial, astounding acrobatics and circus skills beyond measure.
Also performing are sizzling hot latin dance show, Havana Rumba; soul legend Dennis Rollins, some Guilty Pleasures, mighty folk-rock combo, The Levellers; Craig Charles brings his funk and soul show, Jonathan Ross' TV band, 4 Poofs and a Piano; Marina from Nouvelle Vague, lustfully soulful Alice Russell, an unusual dress-up party; Swap-a-rama Razamatazz, very quiet DJ battles with Sshh! Silent Disco, Andrew Clover's Dad Rules from The Sunday Times; some tru thoughts and much, much more. ALL SHOW LISTINGS
